Here's a picture of my british state pension.
my pension
The inflation adjusted buying power of £11,500 in 2069 is £2,900 in 2025. (11,500/(1+0.04)^35), quite laughable really. I have zero intention of relying on the government to take care of me in my older age.
Now, this is assuming that the gov't wont increase the payment to keep up with cost of living, i'll believe it when I see it.
NHS is basically non-functional
Unless you get hit by a car or have cancer or something else that is immediately life threatening, you are basically out of luck.
GP's are impossible to see, when you do manage to get an appointment they will immediately prescribe you a handful of pills rather than actually looking to fix anything.
I watched a friend go through this recently - after hurting his back he was given two options: either fuse your spine or take pills that would ruin his life. They don't care to actually fix anything.
I can hardly blame them really, that's just downstream of the health industrial complex, years of cost cutting and everyone wanting a cut of the action.

The EU has no interest in the future
